Cermets refer to composite materials composed of one or several ceramic phases and metals or alloys, including oxide-metal, carbide-metal, nitride-metal. It has stable high-temperature strength, good friction performance and acid and alkali corrosion resistance, and can be used in various industries and fields such as high-temperature parts of engines, petrochemical and chemical fibers, especially low density, and is the first choice for wear-resistant structural parts of aviation aircraft. Ideal material; cermet also has high anti-built-up edge and anti-moon crater ability, which can improve chip speed and surface roughness of the processed material. It is an ideal tool material for high-speed machining and semi-finishing of steel. Over-exploitation of metal W and Co, cermets based on Ti(C,N) as raw materials to replace traditional cemented carbide materials with W and Co as raw materials have broad market prospects.
